Spirometry Testing for Occupational Health Programs.
Spirometry, the most common type of pulmonary function test, is used to evaluate worker respiratory health in medical surveillance programs and to screen workers for their ability to perform certain tasks. Spirometry results can play a central role in decisions about worker job assignments, personal protective equipment compliance and the assessment of exposure related health effects.
At HealthPlus, the result for spirometry tests are machine-generated, digitised results, and are performed by a qualified physiotherapist.
Our spirometry is calibrated as per the manufacturer's instructions and number of usages per day.
Audiometry Testing for Occupational Noise Exposure.
Noise-induced hearing loss can be temporary or permanent. Generally, prolonged exposure to high noise environment for long periods of time may cause permanent damage.
The hearing conservation program is designed to protect workers with significant occupational noise exposure from hearing impairment.
Employees exposed to noise equivalent to or above 85 decibels (dB) averaged over 8 working hours or an 8 hour time weighted average (TWA) for any period exceeding 6 months post first exposure.
Audiometric testing monitors an employee's hearing over time. It also provides an opportunity for employers to protect themselves from industrial claims of hearing loss due to exposure.
